Fall 2003 survey of e-train advocates' needs
The survey of advocates needs was administered by PDA at the September 20th e-train symposium. To see a copy of the survey click here. The survey indicated the following priorities for interest sessions (all items are not listed):
WEB design and production
Video production
Using digital cameras
Integrating technology into courses
Using on-line or internet instruction
Desktop publishing
Ethical use of technology in education
Use of word processing
Using scanners
Using presentation software
The most commonly listed items in 'include other topics of interest to you' (Question 28) are the following:
How to use the PDA for presentations, test, and other
Developing on-line questionnaires/databases/tests
Digital/video production
The type of instruction most often chosen was 'in a group working together in a problem solving mode with a facilitator'.
The survey also showed the following weaknesses in technology. These are shown in rank order from greatest weakness to least weakness on the part of the group (all items are not listed).
